What is permanent makeup?
Permanent makeup, also called cosmetic tattoo or micropigmentation, is a procedure that creates makeup styles for the purpose of remaining permanent. The process is done using a handheld, tattoo machine with needles that implants pigment on the top dermis layer of the skin.
What is the powder Ombre technique?
This technique involves using a small tattoo machine similar to that of a tattoo machine that applies thousands of tiny dots of pigment into the skin. This gradually builds up color and gives a more defined shape. It mimics the look of filled in brows like you would with a makeup pencil, without all the effort each morning. They will lighter at the front of the brow and darker towards the end, giving it that Ombre effect.
Which eyebrow technique is best for me?
This highly depends on the type of skin you have and how you typically wear your eyebrows on a daily basis. Powder brows with Nano brows can be a very realistic looking brow and is more of a daytime look. This looks and holds best with those who have at least 60% of their real hair and who don't wear a lot of makeup.
Powder/Ombre/shading is great for all skin types and gives the illusion that you have filled in brows. This technique is great for those who typically fill in their eyebrows with a brow pencil. A more defined or natural look can be achieved.
How long does it last?
Please keep in mind that these procedures are permanent, however, it will fade slightly in color overtime. The shedding in color is important so that it remains natural looking. Many factors such as type of skin (normal, dry or oily), aftercare and sun exposure will all affect the lifespan of your permanent makeup. Yearly touch ups are recommended to retain shape and color saturation. Please keep in mind that this will not 100% eliminate the need to fill in or adjust your permanent makeup at any given point.
Is the touch up session necessary?
Yes. The touch up session is highly recommended and must be booked anywhere from 6-8 weeks after your first initial session. This appointment will allow a clear judgment on how they have healed and if any adjustments such as going darker or thicker need to be applied. After your first touch up (6-8 weeks), yearly touch ups are recommended.
How long does the first appointment take?
The first appointment takes anywhere from 3-4 hours. I highly advise that you clear out any appointments you may have after your session to allow for proper time as this procedure cannot be rushed. Please arrive on time to avoid any overlap and be prepared that it may be very time consuming but absolutely worth it.
Is it painful?
It is not completely painless but very bearable. Numbing cream is applied throughout the entire procedure. Once numb, most of our clients fall asleep.
This also depends on each individual's pain tolerance. Almost all clients feel very little to no discomfort. Naps are always welcome!
**Keep in mind that women who are on their menstrual cycle might be more susceptible to pain.
What disqualifies me from getting this procedure?
Disqualifiers include:

Prone to keloids

Can I get this procedure done if I have previously tattooed my eyebrows/lips/eyes?
This depends on how faded and what shape your old tattoo is. In most cases, your old tattoo has to be faded by at least 75%. If you've had your brows done elsewhere, please send us several clear photos of your eyebrows without any makeup and in good lighting to our email so that we can determine next steps.

How long is the healing process?
We advise to not have any major events planned for at least 10Â days after your procedure.Â
Keep in mind that they will go through different healing stages within 2 months.
Will I lose my brow hair?
Absolutely not. The tools uses are designed specifically so that it does not cut the hair, therefore no damage is done. In fact, there have been reports that have shown an increase of hair growth due to the stimulation the skin receives when applying the tattoo.
How often do I need to get touch ups?
After your first 6-8 week touch up, we recommend yearly touch ups to maintain shape, color and detail.
